A groundbreaking ultrasound imaging solution featuring compact, wireless technology allows healthcare professionals to carry comprehensive scanning capabilities in a pocket-sized device that adapts to various clinical scenarios.

Mindray (Shenzhen, China) has launched TE Air, the industry's first handheld ultrasound device that can connect to either a mobile device or the touch-based TE X Ultrasound System, significantly expanding its versatility and accessibility. The TE Air's compact and wireless design allows it to conveniently fit into a pocket, ensuring it's always at hand and ready for use. Its adaptability, combined with flexible charging options, not only makes it highly mobile but also reliably accessible, allowing users to confidently handle unexpected clinical situations. Powered by Mindray's eWave platform and single crystal technology, the TE Air produces high-quality images with excellent resolution, enabling clinicians to make confident decisions at the bedside.

TE Air offers a phased array with dedicated exam presets for various clinical scenarios, including Cardiac, Abdomen, Lung, Transcranial Imaging (TCI), Emergency Medicine (EM), Trauma (FAST), EM Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA), Bladder, OB/GYN, and Vascular. These presets enable clinicians to conduct ultrasound examinations more efficiently and provide more accurate decision-making support at the point of care. The innovative Air Capsule serves a dual purpose as both a protective case and a portable charger, ensuring that the device is always ready for use. Additionally, the TE Air boasts an IP68 waterproof and dustproof design, allowing complete immersion with compatible disinfectants for straightforward and thorough disinfection. The TE Air App, available on iOS, strikes a balance between simplicity and efficiency, facilitating one-handed operation in any location. It seamlessly integrates with hospital information systems to enhance workflow and onboard patient data management solutions for connected patient care.

"The TE Air is a leap forward in ultrasound technology, offering comprehensive functionality inside or outside the hospital environment," said Wayne Quinn, President of Mindray North America. "The new 2-in-1 innovative solution empowers clinicians to overcome the traditional constraints of cords and confined spaces giving them access to premium scanning capability when and where they need it."
