The Mexican government is seeking a way to provide better patient care by converting to a digital environment for the hospitals. They looked for a sophisticated web-based system that would provide their radiologists with real-time access to patient images and reports and the ability to read from anywhere.

RamSoft, Inc. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada), a developer of radiology information systems (RIS), picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), and teleradiology workflow solutions, reported that Hova Health (Santa Fe, Mexico), one of Mexico’s largest teleradiology groups, implemented PowerServer Tele Plus in efforts to improve patient care and reading turnaround times.

PowerServer Tele Plus is suited for Hova Health because it is designed to provide radiology groups with the flexibility to securely receive images from multiple locations, even from those with dissimilar PACS, while providing interpreting radiologists with a uniform viewing environment. To ease the transfer of patient studies, RamSoft’s Gateway Routers were placed in all hospitals, which will then send images to a central server allowing radiologist to dictate reports and work off of a unified worklist from a single platform database.

The implementation has set up Hova Health as one of the largest teleradiology groups in in the state of Mexico having connected big 23 government hospitals to RamSoft’s PowerServer Tele Plus. “We found in RamSoft the perfect partner solution for our big scale client, delivering a scalable, high security and, high availability RIS/PACS solution in the cloud, facilitating the teamwork between physicians in different locations, and to begin a virtuous circle of resources optimization and service improvement to the patients,” said Jorge Madrid Mendoza, founder and CEO of Hova Health.

“We are confident Hova Health will be satisfied with the features and flexibility PowerServer Tele Plus will provide them. This implementation is a major step in expanding our presence in Latin America,” said Vijay Ramanathan, president and CEO of RamSoft.

RamSoft, an information technology (IT) software and services company, is focused on developing and delivering cost-effective RIS, PACS, and teleradiology solutions for its clients in the United States and worldwide. The company’s goal is to enable imaging facilities, radiology centers, and ambulatory and acute-care practices to continue offering superior patient care while improving workflow efficiencies. RamSoft provides a range of solutions such as the PowerServer Series of PACS, RIS/PACS, teleradiology, and patient information management systems.
