Data-Sharing Website Designed for Radiologists

Posted on 10 Dec 2012
A new website provides a platform for radiologists to share knowledge through community blogs, webinars, and forums.

Intelerad Medical Systems (Denver, CO, USA, and Montreal, QC, Canada), a developer of medical imaging radiology information systems (RIS), picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) and workflow solutions, recently launched RadVoice, a community website designed entirely for radiologists to share knowledge and information.

“At Intelerad, we understand the value of connecting people in a way that bolsters communal knowledge,” said Helene Gey, vice-president, marketing, Intelerad. “With RadVoice, our goal is to provide a platform that will bring the radiology community closer together and allow it to flourish through the exchange of knowledge and information.”

Fueled by educational content developed for radiologists, RadVoice is a dedicated environment that has no advertising, geared for radiologists. To enhance knowledge sharing, the website features daily industry news and member forums, which will be moderated to remove any data that is not pertinent to radiologists. The site also features webinars and a community blog, which are built on the contributions of the community. Currently posted are the following: How to Drive 25% Growth during National Decline, a webinar presented by Dr. Sheryl Jordan of Carolina Regional Radiology (Fayetteville, NC, USA); and The Labors of Lesser Gods, a blog posting contributed by Dr. Bruce J. Hillman, professor of radiology and medical imaging and Public Health Sciences at the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, USA).

As an Intelerad initiative, RadVoice will also feature a private section dedicated to Intelerad users. This section will help enhance their user experience with Intelerad solutions by offering tricks videos and tips, in addition to long-form demos on the solutions that radiologists use most, such as InteleViewer and Multi-Method Reporting. “Much like our distributed radiology solutions, RadVoice is a site that will drive radiologists’ performance,” said Ms. Gey.
