New high-definition volume rendering (HDVR) software provides the ease-of-integration and quick time-to-market required in the current fast-paced imaging environment.

Fovia Medical, Inc. (Palo Alto, CA, USA), a developer of volume-rendering technology, presented an expanded high-definition volume-rendering (HDVR) software range, featuring F.A.S.T. HDVR, at the 100th scientific assembly and annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), held November 30 to December 5, 2014 , in Chicago (IL, USA). Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can utilize central processing unit (CPU)-based F.A.S.T. HDVR to enhance their visualization rapidly and cost-effectively.

F.A.S.T. HDVR provides excellent quality, performance, and scalability for rendering real-time, high-fidelity two-dimensional (2-D), 3-D, 4-D, and 5-D anytime, anywhere. Fovia’s fully customizable OEM product range includes: F.A.S.T. HDVR Web-Zero footprint HTML5 viewer; F.A.S.T. HDVR Vision, a distributable turnkey application; F.A.S.T. HDVR SDK, which is a native integration toolkit; F.A.S.T. HDVR RapidPrint high-fidelity 3D printing ; F.A.S.T. HDVR Mobile3D for mobile devices; and F.A.S.T. HDVR Stereo immersive virtual reality.

The HDVR software enables advanced diagnostic applications, custom workflows and high-performance interactive imaging. Fovia provides a flexible, long-term solution for enterprise-wide or cloud-based deployment.

“Incorporating the gold standard in imaging by integrating F.A.S.T. HDVR improves overall product workflows and enhances patient outcomes,” said David Wilkins, vice president, business development, Fovia. “OEMs are able to maintain the functionality of their existing product line via a F.A.S.T. HDVR integration, and stay in control of their development timeline with bespoke customization, turn-key solutions and multidimensional scalability. Whether it’s for an enterprise-wide, multi-facility network, a stand-alone workstation or a cloud-based mobile platform, F.A.S.T. HDVR delivers the quality, performance, and flexibility needed in today’s market.”
