A fully integrated radiology information system (RIS)/billing/collections system has been developed for the Mac computer platform. The RISLinQ 4.0 Mac provides full end-to-end workflow capability for radiology facilities presently using the Mac OS X platform.

Harsha Hatti, president and CEO of PETLinQ, LLC (McLean, VA, USA), the manufacturer of the product, stated, "The Mac [developed by Apple, Cupertino, CA, USA] OS X platform is a world class, well respected and highly credible operating system that many radiologists and their staff have come to love and trust. We are excited to be able to cater to those Mac users in the global radiology community who desire an integrated end to end RIS/billing/collections solution on the proven Mac platform.”

Dr. A. Joseph Borelli Jr., president and medical director of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at Belfair LLC (Belfair, WA, USA), the chair of the American College of Radiology's MRI Accreditation Committee, and a RISLinQ customer, explained "RISLinQ is a feature-rich management system that drives productivity on a daily basis. Even with its advanced features such as electronic billing and dashboard performance measurements, RISLinQ is light on our infrastructure requiring minimal bandwidth and in our practice, eliminates the need for a central server. The RISLinQ management and support team is always quick to implement client-specific requests for our facility and often smartly incorporates these developments into RISLinQ. RISLinQ is focused on continual progress, which is a critical advantage for all its clients. In the fast-changing field of radiology, management system providers must be nimble--RISLinQ meets that challenge through constant assessment and improvement.”

PETLinQ was founded as a company focused primarily in the PET/CT environment, providing educational services, image and report distribution/archiving, real-time clinical peer review, and radiology fusion workstations. In recent years it has expanded its products and services globally to include all Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) modalities, windows based RIS/billing/collections, iPhone capability, and ancillary product offerings.
