A cost-effective software application is intended for capturing, viewing, archiving, and management of images acquired from ultrasound units and other similar imaging systems.

The software is designed for ultrasound imaging workstations and the Windows Phone 7 DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) image viewer with multiple configurations and options. Sonovision is the primary software for most of the solutions being offered by Peridot Technologies (Elmhurst, NY, USA). Peridot's Sonovision 2.0, which is highly efficient, economic, and easy to use workstation software, has built-in ultrasound report templates for abdomen, gynecology, and obstetrics. Features of the software include: capture of high-resolution medical images; save sonogram as image files function, DICOM and ultrasound reports; a remote control function for image capturing and printing; image enhancement and effects; and capabilities such as image zooming, panning, flipping, and rotating options.

Currently multiple workstation solutions with different hardware and software configurations are available to medical imaging labs (for reference only), animal clinics, veterinary hospitals, and research institutes.

The Sonovision 2.0 standard is specially designed for small and medium-size medical practices/clinics (for reference only), animal clinics, pet hospitals, veterinary clinics, and research institutes.
