A new floor-mounted X-ray suite is both compact and flexible; it can be configured to meet specific workflow needs or financial constraints. Combined either with the latest computed radiography (CR) technology or with a cassette-sized detector, the system is cost-effective without losing image quality, performance, or functionality. The suite is suitable for imaging centers, private practices, in addition to hospitals that need to add or replace digital X-ray technology.

The DX-D 400, developed by Agfa HealthCare (Mortsel, Belgium), is a scalable system that provides options for generator size and tube capacity. It may be ordered with or without direct radiology (DR) capability allowing facilities to configure the X-ray room to meet their personal workflow and financial requirements. Whether in combination with Agfa HealthCare CR or DX-D DR detectors, DX-D 400 produces consistently clear, sharp images with multiscale contrast detail enhancement provided by Musica2 software.

“With its ability to be scaled and configured to meet a wide variety of radiographic applications, we are confident that facilities of all sizes will find the DX-D 400 to be a high quality, cost effective solution for their needs,” said Greg Cefalo, US imaging business unit manager, Agfa HealthCare. “The availability for sale of the DX-D 400 complements Agfa HealthCare’s CR and DR portfolio, including the new CR 10-X table top CR solution, which also features Musica2, our acclaimed image processing software.”

DX-D 400 rooms may be utilized with an institution’s current CR systems as well. For excellent image quality and connectivity with radiology information systems (RIS) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), Agfa HealthCare offers the NX multimodality workstation with Musica2 with both DR and CR systems.
