CAD Solution Available on New Digital Mammography System

An industry-leading provider of cancer detection, radiation therapy, and workflow solutions, has announced that the company's mammography CAD solution is now available on a new advanced Full Field Digital Mammography (FFDM) system.

The scalable digital mammography CAD platform includes a CAD algorithm for early detection of breast cancer, a multi-vendor CAD server, enhanced CAD metrics for clinical insight, and improved workflow. The integrated solution provides a clinical decision support tool to enable radiologists to improve care for mammography patients.

The CAD solution is iCAD's (Nashua, NH, USA) PowerLook Advanced Mammography Platform, and is now available on FUJIFILM Medical Systems' (Stamford, CT, USA) Aspire Cristalle FFDM system. The Aspire Cristalle features Hexagonal Close Pattern (HCP) image capture technology, intelligent image processing, contrast optimization, low radiation dose, and rapid acquisition time.

Fujifilm provides digital X-Ray systems, Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), women’s health imaging equipment, and cardiovascular products. The PowerLook platform is now available for Fujifilm’s Aspire Cristalle customers worldwide.
