Intelerad Medical Systems (Montreal, QC, Canada) announced the signing of a new partnership agreement with Three Palm Software (Los Gatos, CA, USA), a developer of software products for mammography.

"IntelePACS customers who do mammography reading now have a strong solution in the combination of IntelePACS and the WorkstationOne product from Three Palm Software,” comments Randall Oka, president of Intelerad. "With this partnership, we can provide customers with a complete PACS [picture archiving and communication system] solution that includes dedicated mammography reading capability.”

Unlike a generic PACS viewer, Three Palm Software's WorkstationOne was designed to meet the unique requirements for mammography reading. WorkstationOne includes base mammography review functionality as required to meet IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) and MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) guidelines. Enhanced functionality in terms of workflow, integration, and innovative reading tools specially designed for mammography, differentiate WorkstationOne from other competing workstations.

"We are pleased to partner with Intelerad,” said Patrick Heffernan, CEO of Three Palm Software. "This partnership provides IntelePACS users with a complete solution for their PACS needs that includes dedicated mammography reading capabilities. With this solution, the PACS and mammography applications are seamlessly integrated for the radiologist, with a single worklist driving the review of general radiology cases and linking to the dedicated mammography workstation for mammography cases.”

Intelerad is a leading PACS vendor with over 500 installations worldwide, excelling at handling the demands of wide area networks and complex workflows.

Three Palm Software develops software applications for the breast imaging market. MammoOne, a line of software products for mammography, is designed to aid in the early and accurate diagnosis of disease affecting the health and well being of women.
