A new web-based radiology information system (RIS) joins a variety of existing information exchange options to provide hospitals secure, anytime, anywhere access to patient information reports. Healthcare providers now have the option to use the RIS as their primary method of information exchange, in lieu of traditional phone or fax, or as a supplementary tool for increased efficiency.

NightHawk Pros (Royersford, PA, USA), a teleradiology company, announced the addition of its comprehensive new online RIS, which becomes part of the company's core offerings and will be available as a value-added tool, free to all clients. Lynn Delphus, business administrator at Nighthawk Pros, reported, "Typically, the largest companies rely on these types of online systems, while NightHawk Pros has earned a reputation for much-appreciated direct interaction with clients. We added the system, however, to add an additional element of support and flexibility, so our clients can choose the communication mix that works best for them and achieve the level of speed and efficiency they're looking for.”

NightHawk Pros' new RIS is a suitable addition for facilities with a high volume of nighttime traffic, and can serve as a vital means of access and efficiency. Traditionally known for personal attention, NightHawk Pros implemented the RIS with ThinAir Data Corp. (Los Angeles, CA, USA) so that clients of all sizes can have a means to fast, easy nighttime radiology expertise. The new system is already in use at multiple locations and is used extensively alongside direct communication with NightHawk Pros' radiologists.

Ms. Delphus added, "Clients who currently use our RIS still take full advantage of the ability to reach us on the phone whenever they have questions, but now take advantage of additional access to reports and patient data. We hope others do the same.”

NightHawk Pros is a physician-owned and -operated teleradiology company with a goal to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and provide high quality results to hospitals, imaging centers and doctors, while simultaneously expediting and improving patient care.
