Marconi Medical Systems has announced the promotion of Eliezer Tokman to the position of senior vice president, product strategies. In this position, Tokman will be responsible for developing Marconi's product road map, aligning the company's strategic business goals with its product plans. He will define overall product strategies and evaluate market opportunities, including new technologies, clinical applications, joint ventures, and other strategic alliances.

Formerly director of Global CT Engineering at Marconi, Tokman joined the company in 1998 when Marconi acquired the computed tomography (CT) business of Elscint America. At Elscint, he served in a variety of management roles during his 15-year tenure, including the assumption of full responsibility for the global CT business and director of CT research and development. Tokman was instrumental in developing Elscint's first-to-the-market multislice CT product.
