Agfa HealthCare (Mortsel, Belgium) has signed an agreement to implement Enterprise Imaging for Radiology in the new Acibadem International Medical Center, which is soon expected to open in Amsterdam for providing a range of services to Dutch as well as international patients.

For Agfa HealthCare, which markets analogue and digital systems for the healthcare sector, this marks its first contract with Integrated HealthCare Holdings (Santa Ana, CA, USA), a subsidiary of the world’s largest supplier of healthcare services, the Acibadem Hospitals Group (Istanbul Turkey). Founded in 1991, the Acibadem Hospitals Group currently comprises 21 hospitals and 17 outpatient clinics, across 11 countries, with more than 7,000 beds, and the Acibadem International Medical Center in Amsterdam will be its first branch in the Netherlands.

Agfa HealthCare’s Enterprise Imaging for Radiology is a unified imaging platform, with fast software, intuitive use, dedicated clinical tools and powerful workflow engine to maximize productivity and lower ownership cost. The integrated solution is built on a modern platform and supports image exchange, collaboration and mobility, as well as patient-focused healthcare, thus going far beyond the traditional PACS.

"With Enterprise Imaging for Radiology, Agfa HealthCare was able to offer us the best value," said Koray Yürük, Director of Acibadem International Medical Center. "In addition, the personal and international attention we received from Agfa HealthCare showed us that they were able to fulfill our specific requirements, and are the right partner for us."

"We are very pleased that the Acibadem Hospitals Group chose Enterprise Imaging for Radiology for their first clinic in the Netherlands," said Rene Stenvert of Agfa HealthCare. "We look forward to building our relationship with this key international healthcare provider as it grows into new regions, with our comprehensive portfolio, customer focus and knowledge of the evolving healthcare environment."
