An innovative MRI system integrates several technologies and revolutionizes medical imaging by encapsulating high-quality MRI capabilities into a smaller device with a low magnetic field. This allows physicians to offer patients a better experience with MR imaging in outpatient settings as the technology eliminates the need to send them to external facilities for various scanning procedures.

The Promaxo MRI system is an open MRI system developed by Promaxo (Oakland, CA, USA) to image the body’s internal structures. Designed to be easily transported and installed in a standard physician's office, the system comprises a magnet cart housing the magnet, gradient coils, radiofrequency (RF) coil, and an auxiliary rack housing the electronics and electrical components. The Promaxo MRI system avoids the use of hazardous materials like cryogens, eliminating the need for complex safety measures such as quenching. It also has a confined magnetic field, meaning it doesn't require any RF shielding. The device's platform nature allows physicians to conduct image-guided diagnostics and robotic procedures.

The Promaxo MRI system is highly user-friendly. Turning it on requires a single-button operation. Its software interface features an intuitive, widget-based touch-screen layout. Frequent adjustments to a number of parameters are not needed since the most common imaging sequences are pre-programmed into the system. Users can select the necessary imaging sequences and initiate them with a simple button press. All data is stored securely on a HIPAA-compliant cloud server for easy access and retrieval. Additionally, the device's small footprint and limited magnetic field make it simple to move and install in a conventional medical office. Its quieter functioning and low energy usage make it both cost-effective and comfortable for medical staff. Setting up the device and maintaining it post-installation are straightforward, requiring only minor facility upgrades.
