Two new ultrasound systems have been developed to address key segments of the imaging sector, from application-specific to fully shared services.

The MyLab Gamma and MyLab Six ultrasound systems, developed by Esaote (Genoa, Italy), have been designed to meet the demanding needs of the sonographer’s working environment. Providing excellent visualization and low on noise, these “green” ultrasound systems with remote service capabilities enhance user comfort without losing diagnostic effectiveness. “These versatile, valuable, and efficient new products are the work of considerable research into the current and future demands of the market place,” said Carlos Alonso, CEO, Esaote.

MyLab Six is a complete cart-based system that can be utilized across a wide range of applications from general imaging to women’s health and cardiovascular. The system comes with advanced scanning features, combining to ensure total confidence in any diagnosis. This system delivers software and probes from dedicated-to-application to fully shared service solutions.

MyLab Six represents the extra steps we are taking in order to add value and efficiency to ultrasound in any specific clinical setting,” explained Giovanni Altobelli, ultrasound marketing product manager at Esaote. “It offers a premium, yet affordable, solution to customers in terms of user comfort, performance, and versatility. Easy workflow and automation of key options maximize patient throughput without compromising diagnostic confidence.”

The MyLab Gamma, highly portable and battery-operated, provides fast boot times and a rapid resume from standby mode, which means the system is ready to use within seconds. Integration of wireless connectivity, an innovative feature for a system of its size and price, facilitates easy, one-click networking with local networks as required.

“MyLab Gamma finally sets ultrasound free,” clarified Joop Geijsen, ultrasound project manager at Esaote. “We now bring superb quality images and fast, accurate diagnosis right to the point-of-care in any situation, wherever and whenever.”

Integrating high-resolution imaging, sophisticated technologies, and supporting a range of probes, MyLab Gamma is an excellent ultrasound system for cardiovascular and a range of other applications.

Esaote presented the MyLab Six and MyLab Gamma ultrasound systems in the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) market at the European Society of Cardiology 2014 Congress, held in Barcelona (Spain), August 2014.
